Not much to say

Well, it's only been 4 days so not so bad so far. Friday was a lot of fun. We went to the auto body supply company party again this year. We all had shirts airbrushed and there was free food, games, and music. It was a good time. On Saturday I drained the pool and then took it apart. It was not fun! On Sunday Tom and I were talking and realized our anniversary falls on Friday and we have the weekend off. Being that it's really close to October already it was difficult to find a place to go away for the weekend to. We ended up finding a place at www.secludedcabins.com which is near Mohican in Lakeville, Ohio. It's really near amish country so we're really looking forward to spending our 5th anniversary there. The picture is of Tom's tattoo. I can't believe he put my name on him. I feel loved!

More than a year since my last post.

I'm going to try to be a whole lot better at keeping up with this. I absolutely love it but seem to not have time to check in and write what's going on and everything. I'm not sure how much I'll remember from the last year but here goes. September 2009 Tom's mom moved out and moved into the new Worley Terrace apartments over on Central Ave. She loves it. October 22nd 2009 Tom and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. In the end of November 2009 my dad moved in with us. December was a blast with Christmas and family and all. Tom bought me my very own laptop for Christmas! I got to see my best friend Nancy when she visited Ohio. In January 2010 my dad met Lisa his girlfriend. He went from being like Eeyore to being so happy. She has a 6 year old named Brandon and an 8 year old named Jacob. They are amazing but sometimes a challenge as well. In February I wen to see Mariah Carey in concert for the first time ever. It was amazing and everything I had hoped it would be. I paid $150 for my ticket and got into the 11th row. She was right there! It was the best ever. Tom and I celebrated Valentine's Day and I don't remember much else about that month. In March 2010 I had my third miscarriage. It was the worst yet and I feared I would bleed to death. My husband Tom stood by me the whole time though. He's the most amazing man I've ever met. In April we celebrated Tom's birthday and my boss Brenda at the library retired. In May great grandma Ann became really sick and died. She was like a mom and I miss her terribly. She was an amazing woman. I can't say enough good things about her. We did a lot of cookouts with us and Dad, Lisa, Jacob, Brandon, and my little brother Shawn. We had an awesome time. We went to Blendon woods and played Frisbee golf which is so much fun. We went to a picnic that Jared and Erica invited us to in that very same park. In June the kids got out of school and I celebrated my 27th birthday. Lisa, Jacob, and Brandon moved into the basement. The library was crawling with kids and we were all going a little crazy at work what with no Brenda and all. In July we decided we would not go to Red, White, and Boom like normal because we just wanted to relax and not deal with it. We ended up going to Beulah park in Grove City to watch their fireworks the next night. Shawn went with us and it was definately worth the $5 to get in and park. The fireworks were awesome and since we left slowly while the grand finale was going on we missed 90% of the traffic. Toma nd I also wen to see Bret Michaels in concert for free. It was our first concert together. In August we got central air in the house which was so amazing! It was staying in the upper 90s in the house and even Teddy(my cat) was feeling it. He was walking around panting and everything. Shawn started high school as a freshman at West. He seems to be doing good there. We celebrated my dad's birthday on the 27th by having a spice cake with carmel icing that I made and he requested. It wasn't anything major though because Tom had knee surgery that day. He had a torn meniscus and some other stuff so he was mostly laying around until the next week. We took 2 weeks off together and then he took 1 more week off without pay because he just wasn't ready to go back to work and have to get up and down in the work van. There I've caught you all up. Now with the current happenings. Dad and Lisa are still together and they're looking for a house to rent to own. The problem is they have no credit and my dad has a record from when he was a teenager. We've been going to Tom's mom's house every week now for almost a year. It's fun and I've started watching M*A*S*H and really liking it. I'm addicted to playing family feud and the price is right on Facebook and I'm addicted to Facebook in general. The library has a levy coming up in November 2010. Vote Yes on Issue 4! I'll update soon.

Vacation was nice but...I'm ready for another one!

Our trip to Tennessee was awesome! We got there on Sunday evening and got all checked in to our awesome hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The next day we had to go to listen to a time share thing which lasted 3 hours even though they promised it was only going to be 90 minutes!! I was so mad I finally told them how I felt. I sai honestly I'm so tired right now I just want to leave. Tom said he didn't blame me at all and was glad I spoke up. We went to Gatlinburg that evening and walked up and down the little strip there. So much fun. We did an old time photo and everything. On Tuesday after checking out of our hotel we went to Dollywood. It was amazing. It was country and friendly and lots of Dolly of course. They had a Train and everything. We got on this water ride that was awesome and we rode these mini cars. LOL we looked so silly. It was an amazing day but man were we tired so instead of heading home we got a hotel and went and laid down and rested our feet. We got back on Wednesday and then left on Saturday to go to Norwalk for the Buick meet. My husband had his 1964 Buick Skylark and all was well...until they broke the rear end. We had to have it towed back home. So, that was my vacation in a nutshell. Now if I make it through the summer without majorly messing up something it'll be awesome! I've been put in charge of training volunteens and volunteers, supervising them, doing stats, money, and generally running SRC. Lord help me.

I knew I was off the whole weekend and was excited enough about that. I saw on facebook that my friend Chelsea was going to see Jeff Dunham in Dayton. I wrote and said I want to go too and God love facebook her friend and mine Kelly wrote me and said she could probably get me and Tom in because her cousin wasn't going! I was so excited I couldn't wait to tell Tom. On Friday the day of the show at 4:00 she let me know the tickets were ours and we just had to get to the Nutter Center in Dayton by 8:00pm. I worked til 6 and we got straight on the road. We ended up getting 12th row center tickets for free. OMG thanks Kelly we had an amazing time. I laughed til I thought I would hurt myself. What an amazing and hilarious show. The show was over and we went to Wafflehouse on the way home which has the most amazing omelet ever! That was just Friday. The rest of the weekend was amazing too:)

Well, in short last summer we decided to update our furnace and have someone install it. Everything seemed fine at the time and it was a great deal. Well, fast forward to one of the coldest days of the winter. I come home for my lunch break and it's colder inside than out. I look down at my cat Teddy who is an ice cube. I wrap him up in a blanket and keep him warm and call my husband. "Honey, please call someone. The heat won't come on and it's freezing in here." So the sears man comes and tells us he fixed it temporarily but that whoever installed it could've caused the house to burn to the ground. Great, now what? Then, they said they could fix all of the problems but we have asbestos in our ductwork. So I call to have that removed and they want over 900.00 to remove it. That's not counting the 1,400.00 that sears wants to get us back to square one and safe. At this point I'm to boiling and just can't figure out how to get out of what to do. I asked my coworker Tina B. if she knew anyone, and long story short it was the best thing I could've done. She got me a guy named Bret who was awesome, and in the end was only about 1,100.oo altogether and didn't have to get the asbestos removed. He did that too. So they saved me about 1,000 easy. If you need someone reasonable and good email bret skilldago@aol.com. I highly recommend him. Now, we still don't have central air or my security glass block windows, but I guess we are getting there. Whew, that dollar just doesn't stretch far enough no matter what you do.

I'm so happy it's Friday, I had to post a blog. I haven't had a day off since last Friday and it's been a llooooooonnnnngggg week. I'll just be glad to have two days off without having any meetings or places I have to be all day you know? I got some bad news in the mail yesterday that ticked me off too. Our mortgage is being raised by $70!! How is that allowed? How do those people sleep at night? I guess I'm just so ready for vacation is all that's why I'm rambling. Well, on another note, I woke up to a newly bloomed bright yellow lily which I'll post a picture of. I'm really trying to get better with posting blogs. Hope you all have awesome weekends!

sorry about that...I really am trying to post more often but everydy may be too much lol. This past weekend was awesome but too short. We went down south and took some awesome pics. Tom got a haircut(see new pics) and i absolutely love it! We're going to get our roof fixed soon. It's not leaking or anything but insurance is going to pay for it so why not. I'm still going strong to the gym but trying new things to switch it up a bit. I'm shooting to lose more before our vacation in may so i won't look so overweight. Oh well I'll just have to try my best and go with that. I'm waiting to go home to my hubby and figured I'd write a blog while I'm waiting. Shawn got his head shoved into the door at school and he stayed cool and didn't get into a fight so I'm proud of him. I told him don't take no crap but don't be a bully either you know? Well, I sent Tom's brother a birthday card and wish I could've added some wwe event tix but they're crazy prices. Keep me in mind if you guys can give me a deal on some:) k, I'll be in touch soon:)

Ready for the weekend and need to do taxes

Well, I'm giving it a shot. I'm really going to try hard to post a blog everyday. We'll see how this goes. Working today from 9-6. Went to the gym at 6:30 and worked out pretty hard. I'm really looking forward to the weekend and it passing slowly. I had to work for the past seven straight days so I need the weekend off darnit. I went home on my lunch break and watched an old episode of Who's the Boss? Lol does anyone else remember it? I found the complete first season at new uses for 10.00. I had to get it. I'm also having my yearly evaluation meeting today and I submitted my reasoning for wanting to be in the labeling committee too. On another note, I have to tackle our taxes but I'm afraid we're going to owe. How's that freakin possible when we pay out as much as we make and uncle sam kills us every paycheck!? Wish me luck. I'll try to write tomorrow. Here's to getting this day over with.

I haven't written a blog post in forever but in case anyone wants to know whats going on in my life here goes. I went to my friend Chelsea's birthday party and had a blast. I miss her and Erica being here with me. I've been spending lots of time with my little brother Shawn who is totally amazing. I've been trying to keep him going the right way and keep him interested in getting school done and over with. Me and Tom helped him do algebretic equations and some other kind of puzzle type math. All in all I'm just glad I get to spend time with him and be a good influence. On another note I'm back to working Sundays. It sucks but the money is good so I have to do it. This week is extra hard because I'm working 7 straight days. That weekend is looking really good. Me and Tom are going on vacation the last week of May to Pigeon forge, Tennessee. I can't wait and it's not so much about the trip it's about spending more than a couple hours a day with my husband. It's so nice we're always sad to return to work. My old car the toyota we sold to Tom's mom broke down this last weekend and no one wants to mess with it this time. I feel bad for her and I also feel like the family is blaming me and Tom and thinking we sold her a lemon. For everyone who knows me knows I never had any problems with that car. We even drove it to Canada. I just hope they don't hold it against us because I really love and care about them. I would never knowingly do something like that to someone. Here at work lots of things are changing and I got back my evaluation yesterday. It was good but I'm always nervous. I'm applying to be on a committee so wish me luck. I really want to try and go outside my comfort zone. I think it'll be good for me. It already has been. I've been going to the gym at least 4 times a week and eating a lot healthier and have so far lost 18 pounds. I want to keep going I just hope I have the willpower to never go back. I'm definately going to purchase an mp3 player to listen to though. Well, I've rambled long enough and I'll go for now. Take care everyone and to my friend Rex, I'm glad you're ok.

I'm not even sure people are reading my posts but it feels good to write stuff down every now and then. We're finally getting out of debt except this citi card doosey that is 4,000 and they just doubled our minimum payment! Also, as of now it looks like we're going to owe on our taxes this year which I am refusing to believe. Stupid stimulus payment. On another note, we went to a free day at the zoo last Monday and it was a cold but fun time. I've started going back to the gym and am intent on losing some weight. I'm afraid if I set too high of a goal I won't meet it, so I'm being realistic. Again, lots of random thoughts sorry to jump all over the place. I just found out that Shawn Johnson from the USA gymnastics team is going to be on Dancing with the stars this season. Well, I'll definately DVR it and watch and hopefully she wins. We're settling in to living by ourselves and it's honestly very nice. I hope one day we'll be able to use that spare bedroom we freed up, you know? Well, I'll post again soon. Lu came over last week and stayed the night and Teddy was so mean. I ended up having to call her the next day and tell her that Teddy was being a crazy nut! I guess he's used to being the only cat in our lives and our house. So when she came to take him it broke my heart I fell for that little guy really fast. On another note I'm refusing to accept that me and Tom are going to have to pay this year in taxes. I mean they said the stimulus wasn't going to hurt taxpayers but it has. Last year we got back a good return and this year we pay. That frusterates me to no end! And one more thing in closing. Someone tagged me on facebook to do 25 random things so here they are:) excuse my add.

1. I have been married for almost 4 years to Tom, the most wonderful man I've ever met.

2. I'm a complete and total bookworm and proud of it!

3. I love animals especially cats.

4. I have a cat named Teddy which completes our family of Ts.Lol

5. I love TV too much especially Days of our lives, WWE wrestling, American Idol, Real World, Brooke knows best, and lots of others.

6. My best friend in the world Nancy lives in Virginia Beach.

7. My favorite place I've ever been on vacation so far was Ft.Myers Beach, Fl. What's not to love about white sands and awesome sunshine?

9. I got married on my mom's birthday. It wasn't planned that way it just happened.

10. I run a teen book group here at the library I work at so I read a lot of teen fiction.

11. I really want to go to Las Vegas with my husband really!

12. I'm happy Angela comes to see us even though she doesn't work for the library anymore. She's the best!

13. I love drag racing and demolitian derbys they're awesome!

14. I know a lot about cars and have changed my oil and plugs myself before:)

15. My dad is a total underdog and I'm a mini me version of him.

16. I love taking pictures so much! I wish I was better at it though.

18. I love Amish cooking and one of my fav places is the Dutch Kitchen in Plain City.

19. I love surveys and things like this but sometimes can't figure them out!

20. I'm terrified of speaking in front of a lot of people. I've done it lots of times but it's still a fear.

21. I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ and really want to start back to church.

22. I love Christmas and even more so now that I am married to my soul mate.

23. I have only drank alcohol a few times in my whole life.

24. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. It makes my sneeze uncontrolablly.

Finally tonight at 6:30 I'm going to get to meet him. He's big and lazy just like Teddy so I hope they get along ok. Tom's kind of against it and says he'll be all mine. I am really excited to see him he's the cutest cat ever, next to Teddy of course! I went to lunch with my very good friend Erica today and she showed me some stuff about twitter and twitpic. It's so cool. I didn't realize you could upload pics from your phone to twitter! Anyways, hope everyone's 2009 is going good so far. Hit me up you guys I miss you.:)

I got to hang with family and everything. Me and my husband Tom got up early to cook and open gifts and it was a great day. 1. I have the best husband in the world who puts up with me.
2. I love and adore cats. I have only 1 though because I'm allergic. His name is Teddy.
3. I love love love music especially Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, and Britney Spears.
4. I watch WWE wrestling and really like it. I've watched it since 1995.
5. I have been at CML since April 2002 and I love it. I just hope they never get rid of me.
6. I love watching TV although I try not to watch too much. It's hard though because we have TiVo. I love Home Improvement, The Simpsons, Friends, King Of Queens, Cash Cab, How it's Made, America's next Top Model, American Idol, and other random shows that interest me at the time. I however hate Mash and Married with Children. Yuck!
7. I know how to work on cars and actually kind of enjoy it.
8. My very first concert was for my graduation present and it was to see the Backstreet Boys. I couldn't have been happier!
9. My best friend in the whole world is Nancy who now lives in Virginia Beach. We've been best friends since the first day of 6th grade. I love her to pieces. We still tell each other everything thanks to texting.
10. I love Cherry Pepsi or Cherry Coke but try to stay away from them. I like about any kind of pop no ice though! I want it strong!

He's been going crazy since my mother in-law moved out because she was always there to give him attention. He's been scratching at the door every morning and wanting attention at like 5am! This morning however he didn't and let us sleep. He must be getting used to it. He is a very special cat and will be with me forever I hope:) Here's a new pic of him. He loves our bed quilt! One day I was doing laundry and saw something moving under the cover. i freaked out but it was only Teddy. LOL

Thanksgiving's almost here...

Me and Tom did our Thanksgiving shopping last night and spent less than we normally do which was very exciting. We are so ready for the day off together. Twilight Movie was amazing!!

I got me and Style tickets last Tuesday so we would be guaranteed a seat on Friday. We went to a matinee at 3:15. It was an awesome movie and was the first movie where as the credits were rolling nobody moved! We all cheered and clapped at the end too. We are so ready for the next movie New Moon. I'm now reading Twilight over again to see the differences in the two. I am already noticing a few things but nothing major. I can't wait for more Twilight stuff. Woo Hoo:)

Well, that's all for the "things" project that CML has participated in. My favorite discoveries were pretty much everything because when I started out I didn't even know what a blog was. I absolutely love Flickr and YouTube. I have been uploading my pics on flickr for a while now and recently went pro. Come see them and be my friend so we can share pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tinatomhayden I absolutely loved playing with YouTube and learned how to embed it in my blog and embedded the twilight movie trailer and a funny cat video. This program was awesome because it opened me up to a whole new world of things to get into and do and even more was to connect to friends and family and even new people that I don't know yet. I think it was great that they changed it to each thing being 2 weeks because I know a lot of people were struggling to get done. I would definately participate in something like this again in the future. It was a lot of fun and I plan to continue posting to it.

We've been looking for a second pet (not including the fish) here lately. We met a few dogs and decided we don't have enough time for them. We looked at a few birds and found one we really like that we would only have to buy a cage and toys and food for. Her name is Kia but they suggested we rename her right away so we're going to name her Bella. She's a Blue Front Amazon. They agreed to give her to us for free as long as we agree to come visit her for a little while until she gets used to us. I think that's fair so our first meeting with her was yesterday and tomorrow is our first play date with her. This pic is not of her but of what she looks like. Looks very much like her. We'll see.

Tom's surgery and my dad's car was stolen this morning.

Need to vent so here goes. I can't believe it but after 30 years of absolutely nothing and I mean nothing going on at my dad's house he comes out this morning to go to work only to find that his car was gone. He called us to tell us but if you know my dad we thought he was pranking us. Sure enough it was stolen. He had a trunk full of tools and not to mention the car stereo and 2 library movies! Then I took Tom in for his wrist surgery. Some weird bump that the doctor advised him to get removed. They told him he had to have 2 IVs. The first one went just fine on the second stick. She moved to the left arm and stuck him a total of 6 times and kept chasing the vein and never did find it. After all of that they took him upstairs for surgery and put one in that arm anyways and didn't use it for anything! I'm not a doctor but why?! The good news is he's ok and on the mend. We're trying to find the car still and hope to catch the thief. I'm on the case.

I really like the whole concept of podcasts but I don't think I would ever use it. It seems much easier to me to just DVR it to watch later. It's probably just the fact that I am old fashioned and like to watch my shows and things at home and whenever I'm on the go I'm driving so watching anything is out of the question. I didn't set up a podcast on my blogger because it's something that i would never look at/watch. All of my tech savvy friends don't hate me k? Oh and Happy Halloween a day early:)

I cannot wait for the twilight movie and this trailer left me breathless I just kept staring at it after it was over. I love YouTube for reasons like this where you can just type something in and there it is. Lately I've even had to watch the episodes of Americas Next Top Model on there because they took channel 13 from Time Warner's lineup!

This other video has to be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. The cats are great and I've watched this video so many times. I didn't know before what embed meant but now that I do look out world:)

It's crazy that it's been 3 years since we said "I do." I love that we're still happy and we both hurry home to see each other after work. I hope we still feel that way after being married for 20 years. I really am so happy with him and now we get to enjoy each other even more because for the first time since we got married we live alone. I'm looking forward to being off of work tonight at 6 and celebrating our anniversary. Here's to 20 more fabulous years. I love you Tom.

It's the LG Rumor so for all of my friends that text like crazy text me:) If you don't have my number let me know and I'll tell you but it's not something I want to post into a blog!!LOL The shed is finished and we are so relieved. I'll post pics soon but for now here is a pic of my phone. I just found out that when walking home for his dinner break a coworker was jumped and is now in the emergency room. I was also down to go to the Teen Services meeting and it wasn't even today and is not until November 20th. In all of the caos we got a new employee. Welcome Meredith. What a weird Monday.

A Weekend I'm not really looking forward to...

but I don't feel good right now. I have this issue with my stomach lately where it's like hurting bubbly feeling that's endless. I've tried different kinds of antacids and all but no help. It feels like something is literally boiling in my stomach. I have to make an appointment to see a doctor next week because it's gotten pretty serious. Tonight me and my hubby are supposed to go to the Pumpkin Show but I'm not sure if I am going to be good company or not. Tomorrow me and Tom have to finish the shed. note:never buy a shed you have to put together. What a freakin nightmare!! Wish us luck. I guess the part I have to look forward to is sleeping in two days in a row and having 2 days off.

I went 2 weeks ago and toured the new senior apartment complex on Central Ave called Worley Terrace. It has 3 floors and looks like a fancy hotel. I was really excited not only because it's a new thing for the Franklinton community but because I hoped Tom's mom could move in there. For those of you who don't know Tom's mom has lived with us since we've been married and has lived with Tom for about a total of 10 years. It was really starting to get to us because she was laid off from Schottenstein's and was really down and depressed all of the time. I took home the application and told her about it. She was ecstatic and couldn't wait to move in and have her own place that she could afford. Yay! A week later they called her to come in for an interview and to show proof of her income. Needless to say she has been moving in this week and slept there last night. WE're happy and so is she. I can't believe we live alone after 3 years. It's really weird though and I will miss her but she's only 4 minutes away.:)

I love it. I can't wait to get home and dowload it into my internet explorer. Go us for having this. It's definately something I can use again and again. My husband's always watching a show or documentary and they mention a book that goes along with it and he asks to get it almost everytime.

I took the plunge on Friday and went pro on my flickr account. It's awesome I just wish I had more friends to comment on my pics. I have been uploading pics like crazy but only erica and angela ever comment. I took my uncle my little brother Shawn and my mom to the Columbus Zoo Sunday. My uncle is almost 60 and has never been to a zoo in his life. He was so amazed at everything. We had a great time and it was perfect weather. In 2009 the polar bears arrive. Should be cool.

I liked the wiki examples especially the book lovers one. I can see us using a wiki for best practices, branch specific wikis, etc. Beyond that I'm not sure I'd ever actually play with the wikis myself on my own free time. I do however like it if all I need is a definition or an abbreviated description of something/someone.

Without power again and I was freaking out!!

At about 12:15am this morning we lost power when it was storming. Being that we were without it for more than 4 days before I was extremely worrried. How long will it take them this time?? My husband reassured me that it would only be a couple hours and we were finally able to go back to sleep. At around 3:30 or so the power was back on. Whew. What a relief. This is the second and last day of this juice detox diet for me and Tom. At least for now. It's really hard. You sip on 16 oz of juice mixed with water all day long. Nothing else but juice and water!! I really hope it works.

Back to work tomorrow so just an update on things from the past week or so

We went Sunday to spend 4 days and 3 nights in Hocking Hills. The place was amazing. Our own private fishing pond, walking trails, fire ring, hot tub and pretty much whatever else you would need. The only gripe I have is the TV was like a 13 inch so watching movies was pretty much out. Guess having that 57" in our living room has really spoiled me. It was great though. Me and my husband had plenty of time to just take in each others company and enjoy each other. We went to Conkle's Hollow and Cedar Falls. No falls though. All dried up. It was still a beautiful walk just the same. We went to a wonderful home cooking diner in Laurelville. Tom caught a huge bass and a ridiculously huge catfish. I like this whole vacation thing and we were sad to check out. I had my genetic appointment on Thursday. What it comes down to is that I have translocated chromosomes and a normal pregnancy is about 85% likely. Not horrible but why do I keep getting the other 15% of it then? We talked about it and decided we'll give it one more shot and if the same thing happens we'll know it's just not meant to be. I also got a PS2 and have had a blast so far with Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk. Huge post I know but what can I say. I'm sure I'll have more when I get back to work. I actually miss it and all of my little family there.

It's awesome! Yesterday at about 5pm we were restored! When I got the news I wanted to dance or jump up and down or something. I was at work and had customers in front of me so I didn't.(and i remembered that I now have an empty fridge and freezer) It was so weird to go home and not have to light a candle or sit in the complete dark. On another note, I'm really looking forward to having a week off with my sweetheart. We leave Sunday to go to our cottage in Hocking Hills. I hope to have fun and get lots of exercise. I'm posting pics from the last time we went down there. See you guys on the flip side.:)

For Thing #13 I created a delicious account http://delicious.com/mariahfanatic if you wan tto see it. i don't think I'll ever use it because I don't even use the clunky bookmarks that every other normal human uses. I always just type in the site that I'm going to and that's it. As for Thing #14 I think it's a huge subject to cover in one blog. What we do here at CML is all library 2.0 related. I read all of the perspectives for the future of libarries and most agree with we'll go into a new world of librarianship.

On another note, I STILL don't have power and it's really getting old fast. Me and my husband are so used to sleeping with the fan on and now it's dead quiet in our house at night. The Columbus Dispatch put out a map of when people can expect to get power back. It can't come soon enough.

You never know how good you've got it until you don't have it anymore!!

WEll, I'll start by saying nothing major was damaged of ours in the wind storm hoever we've been without power for almost 48 hours. After flickering off and on for about an hour on Sunday it finally stayed out and is still out. Everything in my fridge and freezer has gone to mush or just gone.(as in to the trash can) I'm thankful that we weren't hurt but frustrated to no end that we are still without power. I mean for gods sake out neighbors across the street were restored yesterday. Whatever happened to restoring us? And to boot it all, I have an Oscar fish and an Algae eater at home with no oxygen going into their tank and I don't want them to die. Hope for the best for me, I need it trust me!!

I checked out library thing and even created an account and added books. http://www.librarything.com/catalog/LIBRARYCATLADY I just don't find it very easy to use but it's possible it's just me. I prefer http://slefari.com which is what a coworker showed me. I even have http://goodreads.com account and find them both easier to use. I might like it more once I learn more about it.

I tried out the different feed finders and found them all very confusing and congested. I however have to express my love for http://blogsearch.google.com/. I absolutely love it. Amanda my coworker showed me(thanks amanda) and that's the only way I go now. I did create a bloglines account but I'm not sure how often I'll go to it because I have Google reader and love it so much more. It's a one stop shop for my blogs/rss feeds and my email. I'm interested to see what adventures the next "thing" brings.

We had a good weekend and extra day off but wow that was fast. We went to the labor day festival in Canal Winchester and I got to see my big sister Carol for the first time in a very long time. She was my mentor and everything from the big brothers/big sisters program when I was younger. I took my little brother Shawn and my dad and husband went. We had a blast. Smoothie King was there and we were so happy about that. We had a smoothie for dinner. Yes, it's that good. If you haven't tried them, you have to. There's a new one opening in Hilliard and I can't wait. We went to Hoover Dam yesterday and it was a good time too. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. It was a great day for a cookout today and I didn't want the day to end. Here's wishing 3 day weekends were longer. I explored some blogs and RSS feeds although I was already a member of a lot of them and I found them all through Google's blog search.

We here at the library keep missing 3 day weekends and having to work Saturdays on my team. I asked a coworker in advance if he would switch with me so I could have the 3 day weekend and by miracle he did.(thanks to said coworker) I'm really excited to just have 3 days off consecutively. I hope to do something fun and be relaxed and/or lazy. Is that even possible? Well, I played around some more with the warholizer and colr pickr. Tell me what you think and have a great weekend!!

It's really not a big deal but when you work 11-8 it seems like the whole day is gone when you get home. For those of you who don't know me and my family, my dad's been single now for around 17 years so we got him a cake and my husband's cooking dinner for him. I'm just happy he made it another year. He's been sick and struggling with sarcoidosis which has caused him a lot of pain. His right eye is now completely blind. Me and my husband and our family try really hard to keep him in good spirits and out of being depresssed all of the time. We take road trips and try to have a good time and keep his mind off of everything. I really hope he's around for many many more years. Happy Birthday Dad!! We love you:)

Well I'm really excited because I received my camera back from Samsung yesterday. They had to replace the lens and I was without my digi camera for 2 weeks or so. That's torture when you love your camera as much as I do. I went to Flickr and played around however I already knew it exsisted. I finally figured out this whole blog thing and really dig it. I wasn't that impressed with flickr mashups and third party sites but maybe I just don't get it. I find myself now using MySpace (myspace.com/tinahayden) a whole lot less and facebook (mariahfanatic@gmail.com) a whole lot more. MySpace is now so cluttered with all of the spam and ads everywhere!! There should be a limit to that kind of insanity. I'm excited for the upcoming 3 day weekend. Bring it on!

My First Post Things #1-3

Well I'm giving this 23 things a whirl. I never even knew how to set up a blog/search for one. A while back my coworker who is also named Tina helped me learn how to subscribe to blogs and read them. Today I was trained on how to create and post my own blog so here goes. For anyone reading this who doesn't know me, here's me & my husband and my cat. Watched the video onthe lifelong learning and I'm not sure what's hardest for me.
